Every Color of Eyes is an art project celebrating the diversity of human experiences and our common humanity through the metaphor of eye color. Spring 2016 volunteers  Rebecca Guyon, Alex Pohl, JP Rewer, and Phillip Wildner joined Professor Anne Beffel in responding to the first Muslim Ban, ordered by the President of the United States, by photographing the eye colors of many members of the Houghton, Michigan community and then creating a series of abstract paintings documenting the continuum of color they found.

This project was Beffel's way of using the camera in public to picture those who wished to take a stand acknowledging the beauty of diversity among humans through the study of color, a highly culturally charged visual element.

If you are interested in hosting this project in your community please contact us using the form on this site or at annebeffel at mtu dot edu
